Well you kinda missed the point..

His son did spend money. His son also realized that Christmas is about the time and effort his father spent on raising him. He realized on the way to his dad's house that a simple material gift probably something nice, is far from what his father could really care for.

All his father wanted was a good son to be raised like his good dad. I believe that was what the flash artist was trying to convey.

Great movie, I loved your style but one thing..
When you shoot a round out of a gun the entire shell does not go with it.

The lead goes out the barrel, the shell gets ejected.

Sorry to nitpick, but that pisses me off the most with scenes of an entire bullet ejecting out of a gun, rather then just the lead.

Also you should of coated the lead copper :)

All in all great film, but sorry you just caught me on a pet peeve.

I enjoy a good newgrounds blockbuster once in a while, and will add this in favorites for sure :)

Usually a person who creates a movie this large stops producing, but I would continue watching if you continued animating :)

Wasn't bad, it seemed a little " slow " animation wise at times. I don't know if your FPS was low or if it was just your intentions for the cat to move at that speed.
